Assert yourself to create and create to assert yourself.

Michel Rousseau has been interested since his adolescence in paranormal phenomena and more particularly in the UFO phenomenon. At the same time as his studies, he plays the drums on his own and spends his Wednesday afternoons playing role-playing games (RPG) with his friends. He loves to take on the role of Game Master and imagine adventures for his friends. At the time he played "Black Eye", "Dungeons & Dragons", "James Bond" or even "Star Wars" without forgetting the "Books of which you are the hero". He declares "Very early on I wanted to create music, to create stories that encourage people to invest. Even today I have this permanent need and it is difficult for me to remain passive for two hours in front of a television. I get bored very quickly if the story does not touch my own life or offer me new openings, new avenues of reflection to move forward ".

The deprogramming process.

Thus, when he directed his first short film in 2016, entitled "The Guardians of the Matrix", it is a docu-fiction whose aim is to show how certain witnesses of paranormal phenomena are isolated and rejected by a framed company.

"It is somewhere a form of discrimination and precisely a refusal of openness and progress in our knowledge. On the contrary, we should spend a lot of time trying to understand the mystery of our existence. Therefore, I hate to repeat the same. day. The metro work sleep and conditioning the masses through single thought is really not for me. It is important to always question yourself "

In 2017, the idea of the project "Vortex, the dawn of sovereignty" germinated, a first feature film this time which combines Science Fiction with awakening. "My first short film was an essay but its success took me to new horizons. The basic idea of Vortex is to highlight the fact that our History lives in loops and that from this observation we can to ensure that certain things do not happen in our future. For example, it is interesting to note that most revolutions result in freedom-killing laws. little by little we are real machines formatted to think and act.If we have a partial or even distorted view of reality through our senses and our conditioning, Humanity takes a guided course which can call into question our freedom referee. "When I observe the behavior of individuals, I only see programs. It is also very well portrayed with these green digital grids in the film Matrix. I have the impression to only see ones and zeros, lines of code of a program. How to deprogram humans so that they regain their sovereignty? This is the original subject of "Vortex, the dawn of sovereignty".

Costume changes.

The notions of sovereignty, free will and freedom evoked in Vortex can only be meaningful if the director himself thinks outside the box by changing his perspective. 3d animations, actor, french voice over: Michel Rousseau wants to go to the end of the creative process: "not only because it is enriching but also because it allows to keep a course of action until the end while avoiding all kinds of interference. It's also about regaining your sovereignty: no longer depending on the goodwill or power of others. The same goes for the main characters, they are people in my family who are in tune with my perception and my ideas. there are limits to the project, you have to know how to work around the problems. "I know where I have to go. For things that I did not know how to do, I learned and when I did not manage to materialize my idea, I myself found solutions, detours to achieve my ends. You can waste a lot of time and energy by refusing to change your mind. That's what making a film: directing with two pieces of string, a good light, a good angle of view, a good rhythm and a beautiful music. I have neither the budget for a Star Wars, nor the experience of 20 years in special effects for example. I am not a conductor either, but I know where I need to go, no matter what means of transport I am going to use. I know my qualities: perseverance and a lot of patience. "By working alone day, night, weekends non-stop for years on a project, sometimes up to 18 hours a day, we progress at an exponential speed but it is is a major sacrifice, we lose track of time and we tend to isolate ourselves. "I think it will take me a bit of time to get out of the project for good. You can't just wipe out four years of intense work in one go, but I know that I will have accomplished the biggest artistic work of my life.
